I prayed that they would have courage and that the spirit of God would be real to them and that God would make His presence known and FELT to each of them and give them what they needed as they waited to be rescued. I chanced to see a film during the week that celebrated life and had pictures of a woman in labour and her husband beside her welcoming their new baby son into the world and of a woman greeting her loved ones at the airport and other special times in ones life. I cried because I knew that under the sea any men that might be alive were reliving special thoughts like these in their minds and wondering if they would ever see their loved ones or experience life again. I prayed more. It now seems that through the Russian governments lack of compassion and care for its own men they have now perished. Putin has the blood of these men on his hands and hopefully on his conscience (If an ex-KGB man can possibly have such a thing.) God has called these men into his presence now and nothing can touch them. The suffering of life is over for them. They made the ultimate sacrifice for a country that cared more about national pride than saving it's men who would have given their lives to defend it. May the Lord be with the families of these men and comfort them for the darkest of nights is now upon them and their grief must be simply unbearable. These men are now in the arms of the Almighty God who knows and sees all of what governments cover-up, deny and close their eyes to. God rest your souls, you brave and loyal men of the Kursk. You will not be forgotton. |

I guess that was the reason why they didn't accept help from other countries. Now as we know the truth, it's a shame. I don't know how this accident happened and why the submarine sank. There's investigation to be made. I just want to say that I'm not too religious, but I pray for the wives and children and other relatives and friends of the now dead submariners. I know how it is to lose a loved one. May God bless them and take them all to heaven. |

With that in mind it is easy to understand that soldiers the world over feel for the men on board the Kursk. People all over the world are saddened by the loss and sacrafice of the sailors on board the Kursk. Like so many others, I feel for them as well, perhaps not as a professional soldier but as a fellow protector. Though it may seem a sensless loss on the surface, we must never forget that these men passed in doing what was important to them, serving their country and families.
