But that if they are indeed dead, that the Russian Naval engineers as well as American Navy engineers, can determine the cause of the accident, make the proper repairs and upgrades to the boats, and sail safely under the seas again. Let us not let our Russian comrades die in vain. |

Name: Dan Dossin MM1(SS) Website: Referred by: Just Surfed On In From: Time: 2000-08-18 14:26:41 Comments: In this time of concern, I pray for the strength and comfort for the families. If it is to "be", then go on living with the knowledge that the Lord has them all in His arms. Carry in your hearts, the memories, the laughter and the joy of being able to share what time you had together. Try not to hate those in command. They too were concerned for the men. Not one of the officers wants to tell you that your loved ones or sons have been lost to the sea. They have done all that is practical and possible to save the men. It would do no further good to lose more men in the attempted rescue. They have tried, they have failed, they are human. Be forgiving and always remember, with pride, your sons and loved ones died in service for their country. What more nobel act can one person accomplish. Your friend in Christ, Dan Dossin MM1(SS) SSBN 627, SSBN 630 |

If this were a US sub Bill Clinton would have been all over the media telling the American public what was happening. This is a sorry attempt to hide the crumbling state of their military. To let over 100 men die because they are to ashamed to let anyone see is unforgivable. Someone in the Russian government should go to prison for this gross act of murder. But some blame should also be placed on US and Brittish officals. As soon as the accident was discovered, rescue teams and equipment should have already been on the way there. Even though the offer was not accepted, they would be close by and ready to go the second the Russian government said OK. I only hope that these lives are the key to eliminating the cold war thinking of the Russian Military. |

Your mercies and patience to us all our so great everyday. You formed our universe, every aspect of it is held together in You. Oh please, most heavenly Father, please show your mercy to the men who are on the sub. Please let your presence of peace overtake every inch of that sub, and may all the men inside be overwhelmed with the sence that they are not alone, that you are with them. I pray that all fear would be driven from their hearts and that You would do a miracle and return all their body systems to normal, for I believe that nothing is impossible or too big to ask of you. I pray for the families of these men, Father, please help them in this time of turmoil. Please guide them to bow before You and to trust You. Father, You alone are to be praised. God's grace and peace I pray for you to hold. Here is a poem that you may hold to. We amy not always understand why God does what he does but His ways are not our ways and He sees far more into the future than we do. I pray also that you have wisdom in this situation and guidence in days to come. TRULY YOU ARE GOD Lord, forgive me of my sins. You have truly given me a word, Jeremiah 2:15-24. I’m regretful that in times past and in times present, I have forgotten you. Only when things got rough emotionally, physically, or financially did I remember you. How foolish I am! You always had your eye upon me. Yet, I did not have my eye toward you. For so long I sought your hand and not your face. Father if it at all possible for me to remember this day let it be. I will no longer stand for these actions. I will not seek your hand but I shall and do now, seek your face. For if you never give me another thing in this lifetime you will have already given plenty. You have given people your beloved son, as a bridge between thee and we. You have given me life, mercy, grace, peace, forgiveness, the comforter, health, love, and precious Jesus Christ as a kinsman redeemer. You are such an awesome God! You are so big yet in the self same breath so small. You hold the entire existence in the span of your hand. Yet, you are small enough to fill my innermost being. Truly you are the one and only true God and the only one worthy of praise. You are my Jehovah, my rock, my husband, my father, and my friend. I love you with all that is within me. Yet compared to your love, my love is but a proton or neutron in comparison to the universe. Your love is infinite, perfect, unconditional, everlasting, never moving, always relevant, without doubt it is you. For you are love. I praise you father because I am fearfully and wonderfully created. You have fashioned me like a fine piece of pottery, priceless in the hands of the potter. You have taken what Satan has meant for my harm and turned it into good. You have set the stumbling blocks that Satan through my way into stepping-stones. For you can use any situation to glorify you and to build your kingdom. Lord I know that you have planted me like a choice vine. I have had wild vines to spring forth from me also. Please keep your pruning knife near to cut away all wild thorns and vines from my life. I want and desire to be that choice vine that you intended for me to be. Bearing your fruit in all the days, and producing an abundance of love within it. Father you are so holy. I know that I am not perfect. I cannot be perfected until this flesh and sin nature is passed away, but I press toward perfection daily. I desire to be as close to you as humanly possible. I want to see as much of your glory as I can without being consumed. I long to walk with you as Enoch did. Cover me with your hand in the clef of a mountain to see your hinder parts, as did Moses. I want to be used of you as was John, Peter, Mary, Elijah, Elisha, Joshua, and Ester. Lord train me in the word you have preserved for me. Give me the faith to do what I long to do in my innermost soul. I love you Lord. Your beauty and power is ever before me. I walk into your sanctuary and I shake at the purity of your holiness. You are truly King of kings, and Lord of lords. You are my bright and morning star. What ever you tell me to do, I will do. Wherever you tell me to go, I will follow. What ever you speak to me, I will listen. For you are my God and I your daughter, creation, and servant. I love you God. I will worship you with all my heart, mind, and soul. You are the only one worthy of praise and honor. You are my King! Truly you are God! With all my love, Your Daughter written by:Tonya Cribbs |

Wisdom for the officials that oversee the recovery task, and guidance for those who carry out the important mission of recovering this submarine. We pray that in your mercy you would comfort the victim's families and friends in your infinite love. Give them your peace. We pray whatever the outcome may be, that you our Lord, would help bring "good" from this - the darkest of situations. We lift up those men who are in this submarine and pray that their souls are with you forever and always. Fill us with your love and peace and join all of us together in prayer and sympathy. For we are all your people - regardless of nationality or race. In the name of the Lord we pray - Amen. |

I think it is so tragic what happened, even more so that Putin waited so long to ask for help. I can't even imagine the pain and suffering that the families of the men are going through. I pray that they will have the strength to get through this to the end. That the men aboard to Kursk will have the strength and will power to stay strong for as long as it takes. I just pray to God that everything will come out ok... Signed, Angel, 18, from Michigan |
