Comments: I could hardly read through this for the tears that were blinding my eyes. Such a tragedy and such a waste. If only all nations could have come together immediately, perhaps it would have never ended the way it did. I have a son who is a submariner and I am SO proud of him and of all the men who chose to serve their country, no matter which country, in this most challenging and demanding way. May what we learn from this prevent it from every happening again. I pray for the repose of the souls who were lost, and for comfort and strength for all who loved them.

Comments: I pray for the families of these soldiers that died. I pray that Jesus will comfort them and that they will know the salvation of Jesus because of this. We never know when it is our time to go and we need to be right with the Lord. I pray that because of this, we will see that we are all the same all over the world and we need to love one another and ban together, in good times as well as bad. I ask the Lord to help these families and loved ones to be strong and go on with their lives like I am sure these soldiers would want them to.

Comments: Although I am only an honarary submariner having been on board my son's ship for a weekend, I was deeply saddened when I learned of the initial misshap. I waited patiently for word that the rescue operations had been successful and was saddened once more when I learned that there were no survivors. May crew's family and friends take heart in knowing that the world mourns their loss.

Comments: As the story on the news first unfolded the hearts and prayers for the men and the families of each one of those on board cried out world wide......yes we all know that at sometime each of us may die but when something as tragic as this happen it does not matter who or where you are, all unite in the pain that has fallen on the families involved...in the days to come there will be many questions as to why this happen, there will be much anger as to who is to blame, none of this will bring them back....but for a moment in history it can be said that the world was united for a moment in prayer and in peace......let us not forget that we are all human and we need each other no matter who or where we are....the day will come when we do not have to fear each other or worry about death............ --- ---- I am a Mind Travler......Free to wonder where I will......to touch with adult sophistication the "Complexities" of other worlds.........Come......SHARE....with me.......Cloud

Comments: Nothing can ever prepare us for such a tragidy and such agreat loss of life makes it even that much harder to try and understand. You'll never find the answers that your looking for because something like this will never make sense to any of us. The what if's, why, if only's,the blame,it will only make your heart that much sadder. You have to know now that each and everyone of them are in a better place, looking down, hoping that soon you all will be-able to find some peace and go on and be-able to live your lives and to know that they will be waiting for youwhen the time comes but until then try to be strong andknow that they left here doing what they believed in andloved so much.

Comments: Kursk by morris din Kursh my Kursk out Murmansk gate; 118- toward the Barents Straights; But, something happened one normal day, while the K-141 was underway; There was fire and noise – a din – somethin’ was letting the ocean in. Kursk my Kursk now was down; With brave men inside – making sounds; Sounds of cries , sounds of lives, sounds - they pound; For air, for heat, for light – TO BE FOUND – this sound. Kursk my Kursk they’re hearing you; They want to help and save you too; They will honour your tapped requests; They pledge to us they’ll do their best. Kursk my Kursk they are here; Your lives and cries are ever clear; They assembled all their very best gear; Could you hear them? - they were very near. Oh God, Oh no – They’re best was not good enough, and so, . . . . . . . Kursk my Kursk ‘neith the waves; Holding tight my brothers brave; Brothers, Kursk, you never gave; Brothers, sadly, they DID NOT save. Kursk my Kursk black and still; Resting there on Neptune’s hill; Keep their spirits safe and sound; Kursk now sits on hallowed ground. Kursk my Kursk quiet now; Hear this submariners’ vow; The submariner-spirit stems the Barents’ tide; ‘Til Kursk releases the spirits trapped inside; Kursk my Kursk resting there; Release them to our loving care; We will escort our brothers home; And stay ‘til the tears are gone. Spirits of Kursk – our submarine brothers; Know our love as a caring mother’s; Use this love to sooth the sorrow; And give it back for tragedy tomorrow. Kursk my Kursk on eternal patrol; Join with Scorpion’s and Thresher’s souls; Join with sunken men-of-war; Join the submarine hero’s lore . Kurst my Kurst, loft and lost; Worlds your crew now has crossed; Sail into the Barents Sea To patrol the depths eternally. Kursk my Kursk rest-in-peace; Put aside the warring beast; Patrol instead for serenity; Patrol for how the world can be. God bless you and your families my brothers, Godspeed.

Comments: Dear God the heartbreak is felt. Words could never convey how so very deeply sorry I am for your loss. In America there's a song called Tears from Heaven. If indeed there were tears in Heaven all the angels of hosts would weep. I have to wonder if even Christ Himself would cry for the innocence and ache of love lost. On behalf of myself and all members of my organization, please accept our most sincere condolences and prayers for your strength and ease of soul. Even unto death we stand by you. Keep the Light Alive.

Comments: I am a SAILOR's WIFE. I know the fear each of those wives had when the boy's first went out to sea...my heart aches for you ladies, for the families of the lost Sailors. I admire each and everyone of you because my life would be over if something like that happened to my Sailor. Not a day goes by that your men arent remembered. You and your families are in my prayers....I cant begin to explain my sorrow for you, although we have never met, there is a bond amongst all Navy Wives, a sisterhood so to speak, when you hurt the others will feel your pain, as I do right now. Every time I hear about it, I get sick to my stomach and a tear comes to my eye. Please know that you are not alone in this. There are people there to help you, and hit your knees. God really does work miracles. Again I'm sorry for the loss of your Sailors. ~Nichole~ Dear Lord, A NAVY WIFE I choose to be; My husband's job-to keep us free. He must travel to foreign land; While he is gone, hold thou my hands. When worries seem to much to bear, Embrace me with they loving care. If days are boring, The nights too long, Keep me, Oh Father, from doing wrong. When I am week and torn by fear, Please, Oh Father, dry my endless tears. You know indeed that I am frail, Help me to send him only cheerful mail. And as I, my lonely vigil stand, My prayer is this: Hold thou my hand. **AMEN** (author unknown)

We must never let the memory of those less fortunate than us be forgotten and those responsible for the lives of those that go in harms way must be ever mindful of that awesome responsibility. They MUST be ready and willing to respond immediately and decisively to correct any situation that places those for whom they are responsible in danger. I pray that there will never again be a time that people are in dire need of help and that help is not immediately forthcoming. May the men of "KURSK" rest in peace and may their families and loved ones find comfort in the knowledge that the Good Lord has them in His direct care and they will suffer no more!

These brave sailors may best be remembered if they cause us to reflect about what led up to such horror. I believe a tribute to them could be taking another small step toward increasing trust between our two worlds. It made me think about it...how about you? Comments: As a member of the United States Submarine Force, I am saddened deeply. No matter what country, these were our brothers. In a community as small and close as ours, we spend each day with the knowledge that a tragedy like this may happen. But we continue to do this because of our committment and because this is who we are and what we love. We are the Submarine Force. Our prayers are with our fellow Silent Warriors families whose sons, fathers, and friends will remain on Eternal Patrol. May the bell toll for the world to hear.

It was a tragedy that the Russian Govt. didn't do enough sooner to help these men and very selfish to not allow the USA to help in the efforts to save them. They will have to live with that decision for the rest of their lives. I believe that this men are in a better place now and only wish their families deepest sympathy

Comments: Being the mother of a United States Navy Seaman, I can only imagine the feelings of those mothers who lost their children. I am so sorry, and my son is heartbroken for the sailors who lost their lives. He asked for prayers for them - he also empathized with them and said he could feel their pain and knew how afraid they must have been - waiting to be rescued, afraid it wouldn't happen. I lift them up to the Lord, my God, and honor them.

As all Submariners know, when we set sail and make that first Dive, we put our lives In God's hands to protect us from the oceans dephts.
